By: Walters Web Design

NAZARETH, PA - (March 2nd, 2009) -- Sage Karam will resume his karting as the 2009 Stars of Karting series opens this week in Ocala, Florida. Karam will compete in the Tag Junior National category for the first time. “I know I have a lot of ground to make up on my competition. We have been focused on Formula cars and haven’t spent any real time in karts,” said Sage. Karam skipped the Florida Winter Tour and used the time to focus on his Formula Car racing season.

Sage spent the weekend in Sebring Florida as a participant in the Skip Barber Spring Training program. Karam was at the usual top of the speed charts and is looking forward to the upcoming National season. “Racing on slicks is going to be great. I can’t believe the difference from grooved tires to slicks. I like the slicks a lot better”.

Karam was recently selected into the MazdaSpeed Motorsports Development ladder. “I am honored to be a MazdaSpeed supported driver. The program is professional and I am really looking forward to the benefits,” said Sage. The MazdaSpeed program focuses on driver development not only on the track, but in the area of professional preparation as well.
