6/17/09 -- Karam Runner Up at New Jersey Motorsports Park

Written By: Sage Karam Racing

Millville, NJ - (June 17th, 2009) -- Skip Barber’s youngest Shootout Scholarship award winner, Sage Karam, in only his third National event, placed 2nd over the weekend at the New Jersey Motorsports Park facility. Karam lead most of the Skip Barber Formula National feature and seemed poised for victory. “I never saw the two-to-go flags and wasn’t in position to win. You want to be in second place on the last lap with the drafting strategy. While I was out front with a half lap, I drove harder trying to create a cushion. I over drove it and allowed my opponent to pass me” commented the 14 year-old MAZDASPEED Developmental Ladder driver.

Karam is the winningest junior kart pilot in North America hailing 31 World Karting Association and Stars of Karting National Championships. Sage is managed by Mr Michael Fux. All partnership opportunities should be directed to karamjody@msn.com.
