Sage Karam 2008 Plans and Event Change By: Karam Racing NAZARETH, PA - (November 28th, 2007) -- Even with solid JICA testing sessions, it appears as if Sage Karam will remain in the cadet and Junior Sportsman classes for his final season. “I’ve received an amazing offer to run cadets again. Plus, I didn’t receive the JICA engine deals I’ve been looking for. It’s much cheaper for my parents to keep me down again, “ explained Sage. A scheduling conflict will keep Sage from competing in cadets at the WKA Daytona event. He’ll use the Daytona miss as his drop. Consistency has never been an issue with Sage. Last year he podiumed in 19 of 20 WKA National events. “Sage will miss Daytona, but he’ll compete in the Florida Winter Tour in JICA and Junior Rotax, “ said Sage’s dad, Jody. The rules allow him to compete in the FWT in the JICA and Junior classes, yet, keep his WKA and Stars cadet status. “Most of the standout JICA drivers this year, remained in cadets their as 12-13 year olds, so I don’t feel too bad about it”, he added. Sage would like to thank his sponsors and supporters: Michael Andretti, MRP, Gary, Chris and Tim Lobaugh, Brent Ebert, Rick, Doug Fleming, Grand Products, Noonan Pedal Risers, Bell Helmets, Aplinestars, Orwig Management, SmitHahn Co., L & T Clutches, Strober Building Supplies, On Track Promotions, and Walters Web Design.
