Sage Karam PR: Season Preview

Written By: Karam Racing

NAZARETH, PA (February 19, 2007) – 11 year-old, Sage Karam, is looking forward to another productive karting season. Sage will continue his relationship with the MRP/Birel AMERICA team in 2007 in the King Taco Cadet & Rotax MiniMax class. Sage’s chief mentor/sponsor, IRL team owner Michael Andretti, is looking forward to a great year for Sage.

“Sage seems to be on the right chassis, with the right engine, with the ideal team,” said Andretti. “Having a driver in the right environment is crucial at any stage of racing. My schedule is very busy with the AGR team, but, I’d really like to make it to one of Sage’s national events this year.”

Although Karam could compete in the cadet category for two more years, this season will be his last before petitioning to move up to the KF3 category the following year. Sage is committed to the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by IndyCar series and World Karting Association events and holds the unbelievable record of 13-consecutive Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by IndyCar Series National podiums.

“We are extremely proud of Sage’s accomplishments and work ethic,” said Marc Miller, Director of Brand Development for MRP-Birel. “He is obviously a very talented driver, but also a nice kid. Our team works very hard to provide the best opportunity for junior drivers like Sage in karting.”
